Water pump will not run — what should you check?

Quick checks before you call

• Does the pump have power but fail to run, fail to lift water, or show an electrical leak?
• Are the water valve, tank, and pipes in a normal state?
• Is the pump area wet, flooded, or showing a burning smell?

What can you do?
